Nurse aides/assistants are hired by hospitals, home health agencies, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, adult daycare centers, group homes, hospice, doctors offices and private duty employers. Choosing Nurse Aide training as the first step toward nursing school or other healtcare profession, provides an introduction to anatomy, medical terminology and disease process as well as practice in basic nursing skills. Course Description 60 hours classroom and skills in a simulated laboratory and 24 hours clinical. Classroom learning and skills practice are combined with hands-on experience in a long-term care facility under the the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
